PRIMARY
MODERN LANGUAGE
blen’s
work in PML deals with current policies, issues, methodology and
resources in teaching modern languages to primary school age pupils
with an ancillary interest in Early Years. At the present moment,
this is not a statutory requirement of the National Curriculum.
The Department for Education and Skills has become increasingly
encouraging.
Since 1992 blen has created an annual
forum since, originally at King’s, London – long before any professional
body or government funded institution showed an interest. The
annual event is normally held on the first Friday in February.
Courses, workshops, school visits are also provided in response
to teachers needs. Part of the programme includes an ICT/multimedia
hands-on workshop.
